you know what i just thought of? how steve would always visit peggy at the nursing home and they would always talk and catch up and laugh. and then peggy suddenly forgets everything, but we don’t really know how many times that has happened already. peggy’s alzheimer’s is just getting worse but no matter what, steve just keeps coming back because he loves seeing peggy light up whenever she sees him and say “steve! you’re back” and steve will just reply with “well, i couldn’t leave my best girl. not when she owes me a dance” and we don’t know how many times he had to say that to her
